This cache is a magnetic micro located in the car park area at Parnell Park. It might be best to avoid match days if searching for the cache, or to arrive during the game! Please replace it carefully as you found it and ensure it's well concealed... Logbook and pencil only included initially. Bring your own pen just in case!
Parnell Park is a Gaelic Athletic Association stadium in Donnycarney, Dublin, Ireland with a capacity of about 11,500. It is the home of the Dublin GAA hurling, football, camogie and ladies' football teams at all levels of competition. The ground is used by Dublin's inter-county teams mainly during home O'Byrne Cup and Walsh Cup matches and as a training ground, with many National Football League and All-Ireland Championship games normally played in Croke Park. However some All-Ireland Senior Football Championship qualifiers, All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship qualifiers, Under 21 and Minor championship games, Railway Cup, Dublin county championships and other competitions also take place in Parnell Park every year. Parnell Park also serves as the headquarters of the Dublin County Board. Parking is in short supply during summer evenings and on weekend afternoons if there are matches taking place, but usually it's possible to park very close to the cache in streets around Clancarthy Road to the side of the community centre. Craobh Chiarán's clubhouse and bar is at the back of Parnell Park so this area is accessible most of the time, although is permit parking only. Alternatively, there is street parking close to the lane between the two schools on Collins Avenue East (except on Friday evenings when the Blue Cross vet is available at this location and it's busy...bring the geohounds!). It's possible to access the location by buses that travel along the Malahide Rd - alight at the imposing Donnycarney church and walk past the church and parish centre to reach the school laneway. It's a little further to travel from the Killester Dart station about 800 metres away.
