Mandy Lake Parking Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Coolcat21: I made a visit to this cache late this morning and now I've got a pretty good idea why the last two cachers experienced DNF's.

The cache isn't there anymore. It's disappeared. It's pushing up daisies. It is an ex-cache.

I did see some signs of fresh beaver activity right at the cache site. Would beavers cart away a cache? They cart away trees and branches many times their size. This is something I've never actually considered before.

Now I'm doubting my decision to spray the inside of the cache with that "New Aspen Lodge" air freshener, something I picked up at the local lumber store. [;)]

This cache has had a long run. It was a nice waypoint cache, but many local caches have this parking spot as a waypoint and the Ninja Army series points people right to the spot, so I'm going to go ahead and archive this one instead of replacing it.

Thanks to everyone who visited!

Geocache Description:

This cache is meant to welcome you to the parking spot for trails that can take you to some nice, quiet places. If you venture south east along the road you'll eventually come to Mandy Lake. If you bear left just past the gate and go east, you'll follow a trail that soon veers north towards an east - west trail that is home for a growing number of quality caches.

Which direction to take? Well, it's your choice.

But the main thing is you feel welcome, still glowing with what should be an easy find, and you've barely gotten your boots snowy (winter) or dirty (summer)!
