There are more than a few gentle bends along the road to Mandy Lake but here the road straightens out and dips into a low area.
Although the online maps show water here, and vegitation in the area looks like it was growing in water in the past, now it's mostly dry. Even so, when I've been along this way in the summer the vegetation was almost exploding with growth on and along the trail. In winter, the snow is deep along the trailside and you'll have to navigate through it to get to this treasure.
