Geocache Description:

I am reactivating my challenge caches, but if the incorrect logging continues I will be forced to archive them.

READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY

  • If you log a find without following the logging requirements on the cache page your log will be permanently deleted.
  • If you log a find without meeting the qualifications for the challenge your log will be deleted, but you may relog it whenever you do qualify.
  • NOTE: Referencing Project GC as proof that you qualify DOES NOT meet the logging requirements for any of these caches. Project GC is not always right, and they have a disclaimer on their page stating that.

This is part of a series of challenge caches which are all about non-traditional cache types.  Some will be easy, and designed to introduce new cachers to these other cache types.  Others will be difficult for even the most experienced cachers.  Most will fall somewhere between these extremes.  Anybody may log any of the challenges, and may use new or old finds to qualify.  The only requirement is that you meet the challenge shown below.  The actual hides will be easy, the difficulty rating reflects the difficulty of the challenge.  The terrain rating is for the actual hide.

This is the first challenge for March in this series.  This one is moderately  challenging.  Please read the requirements carefully to be sure you qualify.

You may sign the log at any time, but you can only log the cache after you meet the requirements below.

To prove that you meet the requirements include a list in your log showing the 12 qualifying caches.  Your list must include the GC numbers, cache names, cache types and the month that each cache was placed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This cache is a mini "Jasmer" challenge with a twist.  All caches used to qualify for this cache must be non-traditional types.

  1. Find and log a non-traditional cache that was placed in each month during 2011.  (12 caches needed to qualify for this challenge). Since the last similar challenge caused some confusion on "placed" dates, here is how to determine the date you can use for your list. Go to your profile page, click on geocaches and select a cache type from the list. Click on the top of the column titled "placed". The date used in this column is the one to use for your list.
  2. Any cache type may be used to meet this requirement except traditional and lab caches.
  3. Your list must include at least 4 different types of non-traditional caches.  Once you meet this requirement, the rest of the caches can be any non-traditional type.

There is plenty of parking available, and muggles shouldn't be a problem (at least for now).

To verify that I have met these requirements, here is my list:

  1. January  GC2MATZ  Binghamton's Buried Stream  Multi
  2. February  GC2P6MX  A Living Glacial Relict - Kent Bog  Earthcache
  3. March  GC2Q8GB  Take Me To The River  Multi
  4. April GC2TCZN  Can you find Johnny's Cache in the Game Lands  Unknown
  5. May  GC2WXTV  Old Stone Bridge/Tunnel Elm Road LMBT  Letterbox
  6. June  GC2YBH2  Petroleum Centre Cemetry  Multi
  7. July  GC2ZHJX  Mr. Johnny's Lake Earthcache
  8. August GC325R3  Kennerdell Lookout  Earthcache
  9. September GC346VP  Brea's Sunshine Cache  Letterbox
  10. October  GC36T1A  Angle of Repose  Earthcache
  11. November  GC37GB7  Folboter JAF's Non-Traditional Cache Challenge  Unknown  (Great cache - Can't do this anymore)
  12. December  GC39M9R  The Gorge  Earthcache

That's all there is to it, have fun!
