Geocache Description:

Out on border patrol in the week that the "Southern Stars" won their 5th One Day World Cup, so named this one for them.

"Southern Stars" is the name of the Australian Women's Cricket team.  They are six (out of ten) time winners of the One Day World Cup and also currently hold the T20 World Cup.

This cache is named after the ACT & NSW women's cricket teams.  These teams compete in both 20/20 and one day tournaments with representation from  all states in Australia.

The ACT Meteors have been in the national competition since 2009/10 and have done quite well, but never above #3 in the ladder.

NSW Breakers do very well in the competition and won the T20 & OD tournaments in 2012/13.  NSW are exceptionally represented in the Australian Southern Stars with 8 out of 20 team members sourced from NSW.

I won't pretend to know too much about the teams and tournaments - I know that there are cachers here that understand the game and teams far better than I, so they may want to add more info in their logs.

On which side will you return the container?

***Thanks allrounder for the extra information and the corrections. Cachers - please see allrounders's note from 21 Feb 13 for more info.***
