The Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul - Little Gransden
The present appearance of the church owes most to Victorian restorations of the chancel (1858 and 1875) and the whole church (by J.P.St Aubyn 1885-8), and to rearrangements, including the raising of the East window, the addition of the organ chamber and North porch. The 19th and 20th century stained glass EAST WINDOW (1908) includes the two panels connected with the dedication of the Church; the Ascended Christ with the tokens of divine majesty above, and below Christ vested as a Priest. S.Peter with ‘the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven’ and S.Paul with ‘the sword of the Spirit’ kneeling before him. There is lots more information available on the church’s own webpage. Please take the time to have a look. The cache itself is not on church grounds. It is a plastic medicine bottle and only contains a log book. Tweezers, or precision tapping, may be required to extract the log from the bottle. Please bring a pencil, and replace the cache exactly where you find it. Please don't push it too far in when you replace it and make sure the tail is accessible. Thank you. If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication To view the church micro stats & information page, please click here
