The Tamiami Trail "Triathlon" is a cooperative program between Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve, and generously supported through support by the South Florida National Parks Trust.

WHERE: Shark Valley Visitor Center
TIME: 8:00AM

Lets kick off this "Triathlon" with a 15-mile loop tour of Shark Valley with a stop at the observation tower for a group photo and to sign the log book. Bicycling is a wonderful way to view the Everglades at your own pace. The 15 mile paved road gives easy access to any type of bicycle, with no hills to climb or rough terrain to traverse. The typical bike ride around Shark Valley will last between 2 and 3 hours, but it always depends on you and how many things catch your eye. Don't forget to bring plenty of water, snacks, extra batteries for the camera. Bicycle rentals are available at the visitor center or you can bring your own.
