Geocache Description:

At its inception in 1961 the Batona Trail crossed both public and private land. Over time some of the private land has been developed, resulting in the trail going through neighborhoods down asphalt roads. With the creation of the Franklin Parker Preserve it has become possible to re-route the section of the Batona trail between Rt 72 and Rt 532 thus restoring the wilderness experience.

Cache is log only so bring something to write with. There is no formal parking at the trailheads, you'll have to judge for yourself. Because this land is low, there are many bridges and planks to walk. Depending upon recent weather, boots might be in order. There is a paved road very close to the cache so it is not necessary to hike the trail for this one.
