Meet the DizFiz Fan Club! Reno Chapter President Traditional Cache

This series of caches has been placed to allow geocachers the opportunity to meet the most dedicated and hardest working members of any fanclub in the world, the DIZFIZ Fan Club! The DizFiz Fan Club was created to celebrate the awesome sauce of one of the greatest geocachers in the game today. DizFiz would not hold the legend status that he does if it wasn't for the support and love that he's received from his fan club members. Now its time for each of those faithful members to receive some of the credit they deserve by introducing themselves. 

Hello! I'm the current President of the Reno DizFiz Fan Club, and I couldn't be prouder to take the reigns of our chapter after the previous president left to form our first out of state chapter in Yuma. I only hope that I can follow up the tradition of commitment to DizFiz the he set forth. When I moved here from the East Coast I knew my life would be changed, but I had no idea how much. I started geocaching as a way to explore the area and get out and exercise my dogs. It wasn't before long that I started seeing the name "DizFiz" plastered all over cache logs, and they were almost always in the FTF spot. I don't know what it was about that beautiful red on the logsheet, but I instantly knew that I had to meet this person. I couldn't get enough of both the pictures Diz posted online as well as his logs left in caches. I found myself seeking out caches hoping that Diz would still be there when I arrived. I was climbing hill tops and crawling through tunnels just hoping that I would get the opportunity to meet my hero. Sometimes I would get there and know I had just missed him, the red ink would still be warm on the log and wet enough to smear on my fingers. I would go days without washing my hands for fear of removing that precious red ink. 

I have only been blessed enough to meet DizFiz once, a brief meeting in a tunnel where he was nice enough to show me his famous "FTF Face". I will continue to roam the hills in hopes of meeting Diz again, often times stopping to look down upon the valley and wonder if Diz is down there. I wonder what he's doing and if he thinks of me from time to time. Each one of my dogs wears a DizFiz pathtag around their necks hoping that they will bring us good luck. I regret that I had already named each of them before discovering my love for Diz, but sometimes when my wife isn't around, I like to whisper "good job Diz", "good job Fiz".
