THE LEGACY OF NASHAROK
Nasharok is an evil man who tried to take over the world and was
defeated by a young man called Garion many moons ago.
Legend has it that Nasharok's tyranny attacked and killed many
people keeping their belongings for himself. It was rumoured that
these treasures were hoarded in a massive cave, which was magically
guarded. However, when Nasharok was defeated this cave was opened
and many of his evil assistants became greedy and stole from their
leader. His second in command was the first to ransack the
treasures. He found a scroll written by Nasharok, which talked of a
second hoard. He quickly took this and as much treasure as he could
carry and took off to find it. From that day on he was never seen
again.
We recently found a document talking of this lost treasure and
we believe this to be that magical scroll. We have placed it at the
cache co-ordinates so that all may try to get the treasure. I must
warn you though, this is not just a hunt, which uses technical
wizardry, there are other clues which must be deciphered, where you
don’t necessarily need any gadgetry.
The cache is based in the woods around a small village called
Cartmel, which is famous for the Priory and horse racing, which
occurs twice a year (it is not advisable to come to Cartmel on race
day, as the park will be difficult to access). There are many nice
gift shops, tea-rooms and plenty of pubs. Please park in the park
as residents have problems parking in the village and the park is
closer to the cache anyway.
The following are the details for the cache:
- The walk, without hunting, should take approximately 30
minutes
- There are 6 caches hidden, the 6th being the treasure
- At each cache take one clue sheet to help you on your way.
- Please do not go near river when the water level is high.
- Please try and take your picture on the main feature between
the 5th and final cache.
- A good tip is to make sure you have the geocache decrypter with
you as there may be extra encrypted clues on the way.
- If you notice clues running out please let us know so that we
can send out some more into the boxes.
Have fun
