Uncle Pavlov Strahovski was born in Texas in 1978 as the fourth son to a large family, which has grown extensively over time. In total he has seven brothers and sisters, countless cousins, and dozens of nieces and nephews. In other words, each birthday and Christmas is a gift-giving nightmare. In 2000, he took up residence near 57th and Regal in Spokane, WA.
This month, his five-year-old niece Katerina in York, NE has a birthday. So he is sending her two Barbie Dolls. His sister-in-law, Juanita, in Puerto Rico is an avid bowler and has a birthday, so he is sending her a top-notch bowling ball bag. His twin brother, Viktor, a bird watching enthusiast who lives outside of Los Angeles will get some new camping gear.
Next month, his college roommate Francois will be wed in Raleigh, NC. He won't be able to fly out to attend the ceremony, but he is sending a gift to the reception. Add one to this, since it there was a weather delay. Oh, that is also the month that Frankie, his nephew turns three, so he will have to send a gift to him in Vermont. Add one to this, since it there was a weather delay.
Later that month, its his parent's anniversary. Since he and his twin always give them a joint gift each year, he pays to send his part of the gift to his brother's summer house in Utah, and when Viktor signs the card, and adds his portion, Pavlov then pays for the gift to be sent to Puerto Rico where his parents have a condo.
In June, he will be sending his sister, who lives in Bozeman, MT a painting he got at Art Fair. Her name is Anna, and she isn't on speaking terms with Viktor. He will also send his brother John, in Richland, WA a package of goodies on his birthday, and a few weeks later John's daughter Vickie a Quinceanera present.
In August, his brother August (his parents had a since of humor), who is married to Juanita, is having his birthday. So yet another package will be sent to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In September, he'll send Anna's daughter Emily a birthday present, as well as one to his nephew Michael who is currently a student at Southern Oregon University.
In October, he will be celebrating his tenth wedding anniversary with his wife, and has already thought of the most wonderful gift to surprise her with. It's currently hiding in the downstairs closet under the stairs. Later that month his mother shares a birthday with Halloween. So once again, he will send a package to his brother in Utah, and then pay for it to go to Puerto Rico to their parent's condo.
November, however, is a wee bit slower. On the first of the month, Juanita's daughter is turning eleven, so he will be sending yet another gift across the states. After that, he is done! That is...until Christmas rolls around.
