Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

Cache 15 on a circular walk from Houghall to the edge of Durham and back.
This cache has is a log holder only. No items can be left (unless its a small GC or similar!)

Following the success of the Houghall Walk Circular, DGK and MICKYC71 present a new circular with new challenges!

We hope again you will like the varied range of caches (maybe one or two like you have never seen before) and the varied terrain that goes with them.

The route takes you from Houghall/ Maiden castle around the river and through woodland towards Durham (where you can break out if you like) and then returns the opposite way on the other side of the river. We have kept away from the riverside itself in places to try and enhance the experience and to add variation, but please be aware that throughout the walk you will meet many a muggle so please don’t act too suspicious and use stealth!

The caches become more challenging as you go round (with a couple of exceptions) and nice easy finish!

The names of the caches maybe helpful but may not!

Parking is available in the same place as Houghall Walk Circular, but there are other options if you don’t want to start from Number 1.
    
Note: The terrain on this circular varies a lot from 1.5 to 4! Some will be Buggy accessible but some not ( I have tried to indicate which ones are in the attributes). Please don’t try and overstretch yourself we don’t want GCI’s..............................
