Geocache Description:

Located in Lava Ridges Natural Area as part of Bend Park and Rec district. A public area rarely visited and unique.

This area is unexplored by most heading to Pine Nursery Community Park. It is a large but narrow strip of wildness stubbornly holding back suburbia. The footing can be rocky at times as paths are still being formed by the kids and deer that trek through. This is hilly and rocky terrain. Lots of exploring of caves and hidden nooks. The final cache you will find yourself at an old caldera looking area surrounded by lava rock. You will scurt some nearby backyards but rest assured this is part of your Park and Rec system.
