Twentieth Anniversary! I hid this cache 20 ears ago! Located along the Pioneer Ridge trail at about 865 feet elevation. Reaching the cache involves a moderate hike over well developed trail. Views spectacular.
This cache is in an ammo container. It is my first one and is well stocked. If you want a fairly easy hike of an hour or less, go while the snow is on the ground. The path is well packed. Please hide your diversion from the main trail to protect from non-geocaching looters. The cache original contents: great stuff for kids and adults: a Triumph Speed Triple 1/18th scale motorcycle, Matchbox firetrucks, tea, a space blanket, Disney's Jafar, Mardi Gras beads, a Rubix cube, and candy bars. Thanks, and enjoy the amazing views of the Matanuska Valley! Due to several requests, I have decided not to move the cache to 6000 feet elevation. Many say it is in a good spot. The original wood container has been replaced with a metal ammo box. Would someone mind mailing me the old log book pages. PLease email. Thanks! 7/10/03 Want a REAL challenge? Check out the Robert Service poetry cache in the Yukon Territory. This is the new location of the original wood box used on Pioneer Ridge. 2/3/05
