Honey Hole Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

A short hop off the trail, between the canal and the river. Upon placement there was no vegetation, but that was winter, so there may be a bit of bushwhacking to reach your goal. Be on the lookout for ticks and PI as with the coming of spring these may become prevalent.

I was introduced to a honey hole as a child. Had gone with my uncle to check his traps, it was winter with snow on the ground. We had just checked a beaver trap in a pound and he asked me if I liked honey. Well what young child doesn't like honey. So he pulls out a big knife and sticks his arm into the hole of this tree. A few seconds latter he pulls out a big comb of honey, and we split it. OMG now that is the way to enjoy one of natures finest treats.
