Geocache Description:

This easy cache will lead you to one of the early home sites at Devil's Den State Park. "Hidden with permission of Devils Den State Park, Permit No. 16-2013-001." Park Staff ask that you stay on marked paths while looking for geocaches in the park. When you leave marked paths you can cause erosion and create trails that can confuse and disorient other hikers. This is especially important along the creek and in steep areas of the park as they are highly susceptible to erosion.

No need to leave the trail to take this journey back in time. You will find a "log" that will help you appreciate early life in this rugged terrain. Plus you will learn of one of the many legends on how Devil's Den State Park got its name. Don't tear a page out of history!
