Step Six: I am entirely ready to have removed all the defects of character that keep me from perfect caching harmony.
Step Six is all about preparation and reflection. It is your step to having the best possible attitude in order to make a beginning on this lifetime of being on the caching trail. It is the step that separates "the men from the boys" so to speak. The words "entirely ready" underline the fact that we want to aim to be the very best we can, or know we can. This does not mean we expect all of our character defects to immediately be lifted out of us. It simply means that as a fellow cacher, we want to be somebody that has meaning and influence among the society of his fellows. Any person capable of enough willingness and honesty to reflect upon their defects and to act upon trying to remove them has - indeed - come a long way, and is therefore entitled to be called a cacher who is sincerely trying to grow in the image and likeness of the Ultimate Cacher.
Do you have that degree of readiness, fellow cacher? Abandon your limited perspective and take note. Listen to what we are trying to say. But beware of muggles.........for you still have six more steps to go!
