The City pillar or City Shrine( depending on what translation you look at), are just across the Nan river, from Wat Yai and close to Topland Hotel.
In the center of the shrine are a pillar made up of various auspicious woods. The woods included the Indian laburnum, dalbergia and golden teak. The pillar got blessed at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat in Bangkok. The shrine can be a city status, a religious center and part of a fortification.
