Tyers Stream Reserve #3 (Wellington) Traditional Cache
buttels: The area is much more overgrown than it was when I set this cache up, and the earthquakes have taken their toll on the gully walls too. I wouldn't want to be in there when the next earthquake happens! To this end, the cache is archived.

A fairly intimidating bush trail.
Hopefully by now you have crossed the stream and found the Tyers Stream Reserve #2 cache. Follow the obvious trail around the corned and you will be confronted by what looks to be a wall of vegetation. However, all is not what seems as if you walk slowly into it, a trail can be seen running a couple of steps towards the cliff, then above the base of the tree blocking the way. From there the trail is rough, your GPSr will be bouncing all over the place and you will see the largest pungas I've ever seen, and narrow ledges and loose rocks and earth to scramble over. This is why I made the Terrain =3. There aren't any cliffs to scramble or trees to climb though.
Good footwear is recommended there are potholes between the stones on the trail.
You are looking for a clear area just after the large group of pungas, Hopefully the co-ords aren't too off, but they were +-9m. The hint should have you looking the right spot.
Warning - cell coverage is minimal at best. It might pay to mention to someone where you are going!
Finally a note about the bail stations along the track. I don't think dogs should come along, nor young kids (steep drop-offs & water)
