Geocache Description:

4K for CBIIJ! A traditional silver ammo can - to acknowledge CBIIJ's 1000, 2000, 3000, and 4000 FINDS!

Update October 27, 2018 We are sad to find that someone muggled our cache. It is no longer a silver ammo can. It is now a small lock'n'lock.

Congrats go to Connie & Max! During our first few months of Geocaching, we'd see the signature "CBIIJ" (always written in pencil) on every single Log Sheet, bar none! "Who  is this "CBIIJ" and what is that does CBIIJ stand for?" I looked on their profile page and learned Mr/Mrs CBIIJ started Geocaching in 2008, and are from Rhinelander. Their Logs often said something about being "seniors". Well, with listed hobbies such as travel, geocaching, being outdoors, working on steam locomotives, industrial archeology, and playing tennis, they sure are an active and youthful couple! When we started Geocaching, they were at about 2500 finds; they average about 900 a year and 2 a day - and have found caches in 48 states! They have found all the caches in their 50 mile radius, so have to travel out of town to find new caches. In the last two weeks, they found 300 caches in California and Nevada, including the out of the way and very unique UFO and ET Series!

I started e-mailing CBIIJ (which I learned stands for "Connie's Birthday Is In June" - aha!), and we PAF about a couple tricky cache hides. We hoped to meet each other one day while Geocaching, or most likely at an Event.

A year ago we finally met! WoodcarverDan hosted the GeoEvent: "Leprechauns and HTML Codes" GC3DMT9. W
hile racing to find the "Pot of Gold" puzzle cache hides, we met other cachers CartmanRaxter, TheMommadog and MsGrapeApe, but no CBIIJ. Clues in hand we rushed into the Y for the Meet & Greet, BINGO Games, and TravelBug table. Guess where I finally met Mrs CBIIJ? The TB Table - surprise surprise! Connie and I hugged as if we were long lost friends and went right into swapping bugs and telling cache stories, lol! She grabbed Mr CBIIJ, who was talking with my hubby Mark, we all posed for the group photo, and went on our way.

We have since met up with Mr & Mrs CBIIJ to find some out of the way caches and the multi-cache "The Hunger Games". Sometime this spring we hope to do the Series on a long trail that needs a 4-wheeler ("hint hint" to Mark).

As of today, March 7, 2013, Mr & Mrs CBIIJ have found 4237 caches, wow! At their rate of finds, I'm sure they will reach 5000 very soon! In the "Wisconsin's 100" Series, created by MamaKat to recognize the "Top 100 Most Prolific Cachers" in Wisconsin, CBIIJ are #71! See GC3QH4T. Feel free to write in your Log about a CBIIJ meeting or experience; we would love to read about it.

Congrats again to Connie & Max of CBIIJ!

Cache stuffed with SWAG that Mr/Mrs CBIIJ will enjoy. Also I put 7 TB's and Geocoins in the cache, which CBIIJ enjoy photographing and taking around to woodsy caches!

The Cache is hidden along Pelican River, just steps off the old CMW Line, now a hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing trail. There is a better parking area further to the NW of cache, but if you park on the road near the cache, please be careful and watch traffic! There is a little access area to the trail N45 37.619 W089 23.778 Update on 8/21/15 - CBIIJ adopted the cache, as sadly our dear friends Lani (TikiGirl formerly WorldServer) and Mark Nelson passed away in a vehicle accident April 5, 2015. We were so surprised and honored when Lani placed this cache and we'd like to keep it active in her memory, as she so loved caching. She was a kind and generous person that we miss deeply.

Update October 27, 2018. We are sad to find that someone muggled our cache. It is no longer the silver ammo can placed years ago. It is now a small lock'n'lock filled with items that remind us of Lani.
