Batman: "Don't you mean Ivory Tower, Robin?"
Robin: "Never mind that...Holy Pockets, Batman! I've lost the keys to the Batmobile!"
The Caped Crusaders are back in action! But, what caper have they fallen into? We join the Dynamic Duo at Waluga Park (posted coords).
Out of the shadows steps The Riddler. "I've hidden the keys to the Batmobile! To the playground and PICNIC area you must go! Now, riddle me this: What, times three, came from the PGC?"
Robin, bending over: "I see one here, Batman! And I see a set of numbers!"
Batman: "Yes Robin! And I found two more over here with sets of numbers! I have an idea Robin. I think this is an important clue. Let's average the three sets together, which will yeild a four digit number. Then, we can multiply it by .001 and call it A."
[(set+set+set) / 3] * (.001) = A
Robin: "Holy Algebra, Batman!"
The Riddler: "Now, riddle me this, Fatman and Boy Weiner: As you make your way towards home plate, you'll see something by Stuart, what did he create?"
(They start walking SE, towards the ball field's home plate)
Robin: "Holy Underwear, Batman! Here it is! And there's another set of numbers! Should we call it B, Batman?"
Batman: "Good thinking, Robin, let's call it B"
(They walk to the Trail Junction) (See R3, Additional Waypoints) (Poison Oak above, DO NOT GO PAST TRAIL JUNCTION)
Robin: "Holy Swiss Cheese, Batman! There is a trail straight ahead and a smaller trail to the right!"
Batman: "Frost wrote a poem about a path less traveled, let's take the one to the right."
Robin: "Holy Calamine Lotion Batman! There's Poison Oak up above us! I wish they would hurry up and invent Tecnu"
Batman: "Riddler and everybody else, stay here, DO NOT FOLLOW US UP THE PATH"
The Riddler: "Good choice, Flatman and Ribbon! Speaking of poems, I've written one myself:"
"The thing from Eugene
you must find, so go up!
Now it's time to use your mind,
The biggest letter is what?
Assign a value, then square it.
The path, it is tricky,
a mistake, you must not make
or you will get jack squat!"
(They go to look for the thing from Eugene) (Stay here and let the Dynamic Duo do the hard work for you)
(Note: If you are not sensitive to Poison Oak and want to see the thing from Eugene yourself, it is at 24.806, 43.439...but there is no need to do so.)
Robin: "Holy high terrain rating, Batman! This path is almost like a rock climb!"
Batman: "I agree, Robin. I wish they would turn the camera sideways so we could use our Bat-ropes and just fake it!"
(They arrive at the thing from Eugene)
Robin: "Holy Guacamole, Batman! It'S a manhole! And I See the biggeSt letter, right in the center! DoeS that mean the guy in the red Suit lives down there?...FirSt, we must aSSign it a value...for example, if it waS an A, the value would be 1...if it waS a Z, the value would be 26."
Batman: "But Since it is the letter (cenSored), we will aSSign it the value of (cenSored)."
Robin: "Holy Pythagorean Theorem, Batman! Don't forget to Square it!"
Batman: "I almoSt forgot...I was too buSy thinking about Catwoman."
Robin: "What?"
Batman: "Never you mind, young Robin. Now, I will Square the value we aSSigned to the biggeSt letter and we will call it C. Then I will add B to C, multiply it by .001, and call it D"
[(B+C)*(.001)=D]
Robin: "If our viewers still feel stuck, then they can go gb gur cubgb tnyyrel themselves!"
Batman: "Robin! Did you just say something inappropriate?"
Robin: "No way Batman! Just some secret code!"
And now a word from our sponsor, Can O' Beans!
Can O' Beans! Bringing you false coords since 2000! Here are some now!
21.044 (add that to A and call it E) (checksum = 13)
42.073 (add that to D and call it F) (checksum = 20)
NOTE: Due to poison oak and construction, the final has been moved to a new area. Return to your car and drive to the coordinates you have thus far. Batman and Robin will join you at N45 E, W122 F
Robin: "Holy Cryptography Batman! I found a sign with a bicycle and map over here!"
Batman: "Robin, I see a two digit number on the bottom of the map, near a compass. Let's multiply that by 4, add 9, multiply by .001, and call it G"
[(map number * 4) + 9] * .001 = G
Robin: "Holy Cracker Jack decoder ring Batman! I see a Security code to the left of the map!"
Batman: "Right you are, Boy Wonder white bread. Let's call the 3rd number H, and the and the 5th number J."
The Riddler returns: "Riddle me this, Dynamic Dumbos: How is the Final like a guitar with some broken strings?"
Robin: "I know, Batman! You can't make the right chords! Get it? Coords!"
The Riddler: "I'll give you another clue, Boy of Red and Man of Blue...the container with your keys is 12" X 13" X 2"."
Robin: "But now what?"
Announcer: "Now what, indeed! What will become of our Confused Crimefighters? No keys=no Batmobile! Will they be chasing The Riddler on Bat-bicycles? Will they have to hotwire the Batmobile? Will Batman and Robin go...BATTY? Tune in tomorrow...same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!"
And now a word from our other sponsor, FUN with MATH!:
(H * .001) + (J * .001) + E + N45 = Final North
(F - G) + W122 = Final West
Checksum = 49
