Pirate Grrlz "The Big Head" Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pirate Grrlz: Sadly we're going to archive this one. It's obviously not a good spot for longevity and we'll need to rethink how to bring people to see this wonderful structure.

Geocache Description:

Well, our first iteration of the cache is gone but this is such a cool spot I think it's worth keeping a cache here. So I went and replaced it with a magnetic nano. Now, I HATE nanos and wouldn't ordinarily hide one, but it might last longer here. If you also hate nanos (or are just looking to speed up your hunt) I have posted a spoiler picture which should lead you right to it.

Love it or hate it, as soon as I saw "The Big Head" I knew I needed to place a cache nearby. Ideally it would be attached to the sculpture but I just couldn't figure out how to do that. So the cache is nearby with a great view of the big head.

Congratulations to Uh-Oh and One Bad Aunt for the teamwork and shared FTF!
As with all downtown hides, your GPSr will not lead you right to the cache. I got the coordiates using a combination of my GPSr and Google Maps. Please look at maps and hint before searching.

Please be sure to rehide the cache well as this is a very high traffic area and there are often security guards walking around.

About the sculpture
Spanish artist Jaume Plensa recently unveiled a giant new sculpture called Wonderland at the base of Calgary's tallest tower, The Bow. The wire mesh piece stands 39 feet high and resembles a young girl's head. (It was actually inspired by a real girl in Spain.) Interestingly, the sculpture has two entrances so that visitors can walk inside of it. "My vision for Wonderland is to inspire everyone who experiences the sculpture: I believe the architecture of our bodies is the palace for our dreams," said Plensa.
