Geocache Description:

Twizel bridge   Built in 1511 two years before the battle of flodden , was said to be used by the Scottish army on raids on Norham, etal & ford castles about two weeks before  part of the English army  used it on the morning of the battle of flodden 9th sept (1513). At the time of its construction it was the largest single span bridge in Britain.
