Crowhill wood is situated behind Kip Marina Village and can be accessed from the marina complex or from Lunderstone Bay along the costal path. The path can often be wet and muddy so boots/wellies are highly recommended. The path is blocked by fallen trees in places, but these are easily walked around.
Crowhill woods is a lovely little wood at the back of Kip Marina village and has some fabulous views across the clyde and into the Argyll moutains from the lower costal path. The middle and upper paths take you through a well established woods where birdlife is abundant.
If approaching from Lunderstone bay, follow the lower (costal path) around the back of the woods, rather than trying a direct (GPS) route.
If you enter the marina from the A78, just after the bridge there is a road forking off to the right. There is room for a couple of cars to park here, but don't block the gate please.

Alternatively, you can drive into the Marina village where you will find public car parking overlooking the marina itself. From here you will need to work your way through the complex to get to the woods at the back.
I would recomend you start from the Marina end of the woods and look for the wizards series first, that way you know you are on the right path.
This cache continues on from the "Wizards hat" series but his time we change the head gear. If (mini) Merlin has done his job, the crown will be protected and he will guide you to the cache. The "Crown" is well hidden but if your heart is true you will find the prize.
