Geocache Description:

Another 'Underwater' cache.

This cache will bring you to Manna Gum Picnic area, a popular dog walking park in Beaconsfield.  The park is managed by Melbourne Water and part of the park-area is a Flood Retarding Basin.
Underwater Cardinia Creek
The Cardinia Creek winds around the north (very close to the cache location) and eastern sides of the park. Cardinia Creek is a fresh water creek which flows from Cardinia Reservoir into Western Port Bay south east of Melbourne. It also forms the boundary between the City of Casey on the west and the Shire of Cardinia on the east.

Since the park is very open, the cache location should be easy to spot, however finding the cache (if it has been correctly re-hidden) might be a little more difficult.  Access to the cache should be available all year round, however since both the creek and adjacent retarding basin are subject to flooding it might be best not to visit if there has recently been a large amount of rainfall in the area.
