Just a few feet West of this cache use to be a little store, B&F’s Grocery. It was the local convenient store. It had a little of anything you might need, cold drinks, canned goods, ice cream and some odd parts for the car. There was a grill on one side where you could order a burger and fries. The building had wood floors and walls with a tin roof. I use to work here on Saturdays for 3 or 4 hours when I was a kid. I would sweep the floors, clean the parking lot and take the trash out back and burn it in the barrels. I can’t remember when it closed and was torn down but now the area is used for car poolers and rigs stopping for the night. Just to the East is a gas station. It was Bennett’s Gulf back then and it only had one cooler with sodas, a garage with a mechanic to do car repairs and some full service pumps. There are not many stations like that anymore. It has since been torn down and rebuilt up to today’s expectations for the stop and get what you want.
The gas stations owner cleared this hide and this can be a high muggler area at times so you know how to do it. You will be looking for a green bison tube.
