Geocache Description:

A single-stage cache just off from the Pine Flatwoods Trail, in the Alligator Creek site of the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center.

Those that have previously cached or hiked along this trail know how wonderful it is. This cache is located very close to the trailhead of the brand new Hammock Trail (N 26 52.075 W 082 01.832), which connects to the Old Datsun Trail in the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park. Seekers of this cache that have come from that trail know how beautiful it is. I would recommend that Seekers who parked in the CHEC parking lot take the extra hike on the Hammock Trail, where future adventures await.

The Alligator Creek site is located on Burnt Store Road, 1 mile SW of U.S. 41. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday. There is a walk through gate for dawn to dusk access to the park, outside of the posted hours. Three nice hiking trails are available at this site to enjoy.

You are looking for a 30 cal ammo can, full of fair trade items. To prevent the possibility of damage by critters, please do not leave food items of any type. This cache is placed with the permission of the Park Manager.
