A single stage cache just off from the Old Datsun Trail, in the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park. Cache is pretty close to the mid-point on this 1-3/4 mile loop trail.
Those that have previously cached or hiked along this trail know how wonderful it is. This cache is located very close to the trailhead of the brand new Hammock Trail (N 26 51.428 W 082 01.724 ), which connects to the Pine Flatwoods Trail in the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center. Seekers of this cache that have come from that trail know how beautiful it is. I would recommend that Seekers who parked in the Old Datsun Trail parking lot take the extra hike on the Hammock Trail, where future adventures await.
Parking for your GeoVehicle can be had at N 26 51.079 W 082 01.327 You are looking for a 30 cal ammo can, full of fair trade items. To prevent the possibility of damage by critters, please do not leave food items of any type. This cache is placed with the permission of the Park Manager.
