One of a series of caches located very close to the Nottingham - Beeston canal. The Nottingham - Beeston canal is a scenic waterway route popular with walkers, runners and cyclists (and of course, barges!) This is a simple, offset multi with the final cache hidden close by.
I cycle along the canal to work every day and had never noticed a plaque with some interesting history.
At the starting co-ordinates, there is a plaque showing the water level from when the canal flooded. The year is ABCD
To find the cache, you need to do some maths!
The cache can be found at N 52o 56. B (C - D) A W 001o 08. (C - D) (B - A) (A + C)
The GPS co-ordinates might be slightly off due to poor satellite reception - but you do not need your wellies or a boat!
