Back to Harriett #1 Traditional Cache
fulfilled71: It's too hard to get around the island now it was good while covered in sand but it's under deep vegetation now. Might do something again if another flood comes hope it doesn't

Well Harriett Island has become like the sacred ground or holy grail of caching in Bundaberg, so its time another trip was made back to Harriett other than being a once off 2 hour experience years ago. So we went across to find the caches on the 9th March and back on the 10th to place one.
Well as already discussed in great detail, the trip to Harriett is quite the undertaking, it is a difficult crossing followed by difficult navigation on the island thats why the terrain rating is so high. The cache container was going to be unlike others, a small camo cache which seems to blend in very well with the "jungle experience" but it is now a black micro bison. The journey is difficult as already discussed waiting for correct tide times and the right weather in Bundaberg now which seems a challenge also. There is a big gap on the island between existing caches so I thought placing a cache in this location might tempt other cachers to attempt the trip here, or make the island experience more enjoyable as no one wants to walk 650 metres between caches. This cache placed almost half way between West End and Centre of it all should balance out the cache hides nicely on the island. All caches should be no more than 400 metres apart now.
