Hitt's Hill Park is a tiny little park not far from the hustle and bustle of Columbia City's Rainier Ave. There's one main trail that takes you through some lovely woods. You would never know it, but this spot used to be the site of the Hitt Brothers Fireworks Factory (founded in 1905). They provided the fireworks for the Seattle World's Fair in 1962 as well as the pyrotechnics for movies like Gone With the Wind. It's the local residents who really maintain this cute park. Hitt's Hill is not exactly worth going out of your way to go to, but if you're already in the area, are interested in Seattle's history, and enjoy wild blackberries, you should definitely check it out.
