Geocache Description:

A short multi-cache along Lady's Walk between Coaltown of Balgonie and Woodside.
This is a small cache, please bring your own pen.

The start coordinates are on a bridge over the railway. On the main line between Edinburgh and Aberdeen the railway bridges are numbered sequentially and each bridge has its number painted on it (some with more finesse than others).

The final coordinates are given by:
N 56° 11.367'   W 003° 7.[bridge number x 9]'

Lady's Walk is supposedly a medieval path which existed in the time of Alexander III. However, the "lady" in question is probably Lady Helena "Nina" McDonnell, daughter of the 5th Earl of Antrim and wife of Capt. Charles Barrington Balfour who owned Balgonie Castle. They married in 1888. The streets Lady Nina Square and Lady Nina Cottages can be found in Coaltown.
