Geocache Description:

Site of Clock Tower Mill was the most impressive factory in the Weavers’ Triangle. The mill was begun in the 1840s by George Slater, who was to become one of Burnley’s leading industrialists. The clock tower which dominated the skyline of the Weavers’ Triangle had been added in 1863, when part of the mill was rebuilt after a previous fire. In the 1890s the mill was taken over by John Watts, which became one of the largest cotton-waste firms in the country.

Aluminum round container with various items inside - "Crompton" our Duck Travel Bug will start inside here and we hope he gets the chance to visit every cache within a 15 mile radius of the Weavers Triangle!
