Geocache Description:

Ready to go fishing?

This should be a quick and easy find near a favorite fishing hole.

This cache is placed at the confluence of Belt Creek, which comes in from the south, and Otter Creek coming in from the east. Standing near the bridge, you can look out across the damage done during the spring 2010 floods. Belt Creek cut new channels, took down trees, and exposed gravel bars through the valley from here to the Sluice Boxes. The roar of the water that spring was deafening at spots, and Mother Nature's strength really showed.

After you've found the cache, you can drive around to the other side and enjoy a favorite summer hang out spot, and, if it's warm enough, maybe go wading in the creek.

Please be aware that this IS Montana and snakes can be found in areas like this at the right time of year. Please be aware of your surroundings and Happy caching!
