Geocache Description:

Hidden on the village green in Shipton-under-Wychwood, this cache is a mere tankard's-throw from one of the oldest pubs in the country: It is said to have had a license since 1384.

The village is on the Oxfordshire Way footpath, which can be used to walk north-westwards up the Evenlode Valley to Bruern Abbey and Bledington, or eastwards down the valley to Charlbury. Attractions such as Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, the Cotswold Wild Life Park near Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water in Gloucestershire are all within easy reach by car. This is a nano cache hidden near to one of Shipton-under-Wychwood's several pubs. There's parking nearby to the village green which should be a convenient location for this cache. The location is easily visible from the main road and local houses, so watch our for muggles!
