DonC had the bright idea that this area needed more caches.
We came by again on 10 April 2015. We found the ammo can completely smashed, possibly by large equipment brought in during the fires of May 2014. We're leaving it there as a memorial. Please come by and visit what used to be a nice cache filled with vintage swag. Don't worry if you have trouble retrieving the logbook from the smashed container. Don't hurt yourself trying to extract it. You may still claim credit for finding the cache..
This end of the trail was not receiving many visitors so we placed this cache to encouage more people to come by. This cache is placed almost direcctly under some power lines. It is an ammo can and will require some minor uphill bushwhacking for about 20-30 feet. It was initially loaded up with various electronic devices and connectors. Please take anything you can use and don't worry about leaving anything in return. Thanks for making the trek.

The person living there (as well as the actual land owner) doesn't take kindly to trespassers. Don't try to approach GZ from GC2FM6N (It Is What It Is) as that'll necessitate walking through his lot. I've talked with the guy who lives there and he is a nice enough guy (and he allowed me to walk through after I explained what I was doing) but he has seen his share of partying teenagers and druggies finding their way to his lot. He told me he's had to come out with his shotgun on more than one occasion. I just don't want to see anyone get hurt."]
