Geocache Description:

A chase through Manly after a kangaroo on the run.

Henry Gilbert Smith is known as The Father of Manly. He developed Manly for 25 years in the mid-late 1800s, donating many of its parks, building churches, hotels and houses, layout out the streets, and planting trees and gardens.

Henry has a problem. He has lost his kangaroo, Boomer. Together with his 9 year old nephew, Tommy, you will take a stroll through Manly, meet some of the locals, learn a bit about the history of Manly, and solve the mystery of the missing kangaroo.

The adventure should take around 2 hours and involves a leisurely 3km walk. It is all paved and nearly all of it is level so it is suited to all ages. It can get hot on the walk so remember to drink lots of water [;-)]. If you want to you can look at some of the historical photographs and information built into the game at stops along the way, or you can ignore all the heritage guff and just play the game.

It's easy to take part in this adventure. Simply go to Wherigo.com to download the cartridge or click here: Henry and the Boomer

Then load the cartridge into your Wherigo enabled device:
- Selected Garmin Colorado and Oregon GPSr (pre-installed)
- Iphone or ipad (not wi-fi only) using the "Wherigo" app (get it in the App Store)
- Android device using the "WhereYouGo" app (get it here)
- Pocket pc or similar device using the "Wherigo" player (get it here and click "Download Player")

The phone number for the Outback Lodge is 0449 541 195.

This cartridge has been tested on an iphone 4s.

There are 3 pennies for FTF (don't spend them all at once!).

Congratulations to zargfinders on being first to find and snaffling the pennies.

Now, where is that kangaroo?
