Another 'underwater' cache.
This 'underwater' cache will bring you to Frog Hollow Reserve. The reserve was identified as one of the Landmark Image Projects - undertaken by the local Council - to improve the image and facilities of the area. Frog Hollow reserve is now a well maintained wetland area, major open space network and multiuse parkland.
The cache is located about 5m from the shore-line, so it's likely you'll get wet when retrieving it - how wet depends on the season and how much rain there has been recently. However, no special equipment is needed to find the cache - I didn't use any to place it ... just as long as you don't mind getting a little wet in the process.
The cache location should be easy to see, but getting out to it is the tricky part, the location is very open, often with walkers, cyclists and even fishermen around at peak recreational times. During those times, logging the cache may be difficult or impossible. The cache is tied in place so you will need to find, open and sign the log at GZ and there is no real way to hide what you are doing.
A good level of dexterity is required to retrieve and log the cache - it's location is not suitable for children or anyone with mobility issues. Valuables (including your GPS) and any loose items would be best left at the shore - if you drop anything at GZ, you'll probably never see it again - however, bring a pen to sign the log.
The cache is a medium sized black bison tube that opens at the bottom, please don't drop the log or container cap (or you'll need to replace it).
