Park Here at Night (2.0): Bridges Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Bunjil: I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:

             - Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
             - No response from the cache owner.
             - No cache to find or log to sign.
             - It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
             - Cache has been abandoned by cache owner/cache in disrepair

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in cache name) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.

Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

An easy and fun-for-the-whole-family "Park Here at Night" cache (the number in the title is an indication of relative-difficulty). A walk of several kilometers, multiple waypoints & reflector trails will lead you to the cache.

A night cache that should be accessible to most everyone, while you do need a torch a normal household torch, a $2 LED key-chain torch, Dolphin torch, or even your mobile-phone (if you have an app that turns the camera-flash into a torch) should all work to complete the cache.
Please see the notes between Bridge 2 & 3 below, gumboots or similar water-proof footwear is recommended if it's likely to be wet in the area.

Stand at the published coordinates and shine your torch around - it should illuminate (at least one) small piece of yellow reflective-tape. Follow the trail of yellow reflectors, to the white reflectors which will highlight the clue-location.

Red reflectors mark a path not to follow or that you have gone too far.

At each clue-location you are looking for a small metal tab - about the same width but only half the length of a dog-tag. Etched into the tag is a a set of numbers:
??? S
??? E
These are the decimal part of the coordinates where you will find the start of the next reflector trail (or the cache). Once you have found the coordinates on each clue-tag enter them in your GPS and follow the obvious clearly defined concrete path in that direction. Once you arrive at the location, shine your torch around to find the start of the(yellow) reflector trail.

The only time you will need to leave the concrete path is to locate the actual cache, it's hidden an easy 10m walk from the path.

Bridge 1
Easy one to start, with an abundance of reflectors.
Find the clue-tag and the next set of reflectors will be at:
37° 59.??? S
145° 16.??? E

Bridge 2
A longer reflector trail, yellow will highlight the correct direction, while red (or no) reflector(s) will mark the wrong path.
Find the clue tag and the next set of reflectors is at:
37° 59.??? S
145° 15.??? E

Note: Each time I have visited, the path just before the Bridge 3 been flooded with more than ankle deep water. If you find the path underwater and do not want to risk wet feet, go back to the last intersection and follow the path west then turn back north/east at the next junction (or turn north and cross-country at the first willow tree on the right of the west-path).

Bridge 3
This set of reflectors is down low, follow them to the clue-tag and the next set of reflectors will be at:
37° 59.??? S
145° 15.??? E

Bridge 4
Red reflectors mark the path(s) not to follow and a long trail of yellow reflectors will take you to the last clue-tag.

The cache can be found at:
37° 59.??? S
145° 15.??? E

And is marked by triple white blazes.

The cache is a regular sized container and should be easy to spot, please recamouflage the cache when replacing it.

Take note of the front-page of the log-book, it contains clues for a soon-to-be-published night-cache.

Once you have found the cache, the path (in the direction of the red reflectors) will return you to the recommended car parking location.
