Geocache Description:

Small camo'd pill bottle in the Slatersville area.

Eagle Point Park is an area located behind the North Smithfield Public Library that contains some beautiful natural scenery and reminders of Slatersville's industrial past. The area was named Eagle Point by the Boy Scouts of Troop 1139 Slatersville whose members have completed numerous Eagle Scout service projects in the area consisting of picnic tables, a bridge, benches, etc.

Eagle Point also contains significant reminders about Slatersville's industrial past. You can still see mechanisms here that were used to divert water to the nearby mills who utilized the river for hydropower. The library itself was even a mill building at one time and you'll even see one on the water (sort of) while searching for this cache.

To access this cache, you just need to cross the bridge when you enter the area and take the trail that is on you're left (watch out for the holes). The trail leads to the cache. The cache is logbook only so BYOP and rehide well!

Congrats Nomad64, Adventurist1, and vwskier50 for thrice-FTF!
