Old Man Winter Challenge Mystery Cache

Cache IS at the listed coordinates, but you must first complete the challenge requirements to claim a find. To meet this challenge, you must have a logged at least one cache on every date in the season of winter, which for the purposes of this cache is considered to be December 21 through March 19 - including February 29.
If you do not meet this requirement, you are welcome to visit this cache but may not log a find. If you wish to record your visit, please use the "Write Note" function. Please do not complain about having to meet the challenge requirements - that is the the whole point of a challenge cache.
Winter can be a great time for geocaching in Virginia - less chance of encountering poison ivy, ticks, mosquitoes, bears, and other assorted hazards! Of course it's important to dress warmly and carry winter gear. While winter caching, we have found caches hopelessly entrenched in ice (both in trees and on the ground) and had team members slip and crash painfully to the ground due to lack of traction on crusted snow. But don't let that stop you!
We thought this area would be a great location for our winter cache. You are welcome to find it any time of year as long as you have met the challenge requirements, which will be confirmed by using your statistics page at geocaching.com (no need to provide a list by date)! The difficulty rating is not for finding this container, but for completing the challenge requirements. At most times parking will be available quite near the cache. Your hike will be short but steep. All swag is in the winter-themed colors of silver and blue; please follow the theme if you wish to make a trade! FTF prize includes a small amount of cold, hard cash!
