THIS CACHE WAS MOVED A FEW FEET TO THE LEFT DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. MY GPS WAS +/- 10 FEET SO COORDS DIDN'T CHANGE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET OUT OF YOUR CAR IF YOU PULL IN THE RIGHT WAY. SEE HINT FOR HELP IF NEEDED
The JOE caches are placed no more than two tenths of a mile from the exit and the hint is a dead give away to the cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache finds while traveling.
This is the first of my West Virginia I-79 series.
When planning trips some struggle with which caches really will be quick grabs and which may end as disasters and getting lost in an unfamiliar city.
This series was started as an Interstate 79 equivalent to the I-68 JOE's, the "Loop to Loop" and I-81 cache series that was started in Nashville TN by cgeek.
This cache is meant as a quick grab for those traveling through the area and a nice fast smiley for those that already live here. Copied from VWDave's caches in VA, scrubjsm in WW and LisaandDarin in MD.
......Now for the cache search.......
Locating this JOE will best be accessed from the southbound exit along the west side of the interstate but is an easy on and off from either direction for traveling cachers.
The micro cache you seek is hidden for easy access. No room for a writing utensil so BYOP!!
Stealth will depend on the day and time of your hunt. If cache retrieval vehicles are drinking you may have to use your CRV for cover or wait for another try.
CAUTION: Potential for traffic to be passing by, so if caching with children know there whereabouts at all times. Congrats to WVgrrl and wvhunter for the COFTF!
