Geocache Description:


You are seeking a short two stage multi cache that begins at the grave marker for Daniel Dunn, a Veteran of the War of 1812.

Daniel may have been from Tennessee or from Virginia. He married Susannah Parman in 1809, and over a 20 year period with one major war in between, had 12 children.

Daniel Dunn served for 6 months in the 5th Regiment of the East Tennessee Militia. He participated in the Battle of New Orleans under Andrew Jackson.

When Daniel died he was buried in Myers Cemetery, Tuckaleechee Cove, Blount County, Tennessee. The marker you are seeking is in memory of Daniel and his service by the extended Dunn family.
