Geocache Description:

A Nice Little Neighborhood Park

On my many visits to the Palm Coast area for the Daytona 500 and more recently Geocaching, my longtime friends POJ & MMJ have introduced me to the many “hidden” and not-so-hidden parks, paths and walkways throughout the area. This new park is definitely deserving of a cache to help bring people here

The park is designed as a passive park for picnics and enjoying the beautiful spreading oaks on the property. It is dedicated to the pioneers of Flagler County
Moody Homestead Park is a small slice of Flagler County’s history wrapped in a grove of 400-year-old live oak trees. The 3.4-acre park is the former homestead of Robert Moody and his brother, I.I. Moody, who both built homes there in 1916. I.I. Moody has been given the title of Founder of Flagler County. Activities include Birding, Hiking / Nature Trail, Pets, and Picnicking.

Be sure to read the many descriptive plaques in the park. Good Luck - Cache Happy!

Congrats to Kevlinf for being FTF!
