Geocache Description:

Located in the stunning Puketi Forest, Far North

I always enjoy a mountain bike adventure and Puketi offers two tracks within the reserve forest.

Access Mokau Ridge Track from Waiare Road just north of the Manginangina Kauri Walk & Car Park. A large DOC sign on the road side confirms the entry point.

6km ride / hike up the Mokau Ridge track from Waiare Road to an elevation of 450m. Continue on past the Onekura track sign and turn left onto an old track which you'll find just round the corner and down the hill. If you get to the gated crossroads you've gone too far.

Cache is a large 8 Litre camo'd bucket with room for lots of goodies!

Remember to take food, water, appropriate clothing for an expedition in the bush. Weather can change quickly.
