Along from another beach parking area is a toilet, and past that is where I found the LAIR!
Be careful when you look for this cache not to get pinched by its keeper.
In the base of the Pohutukawa tree I found a hole, I thought this was the perfect place for a cache. I had a quick look inside but I had to get back quickly as something was coming out...
The creature started to back out of the hole and to my amazement it was HUGE.
I thought that earwigs were small and only got to about 2-3cm long, but this guy was big, and when I mean big... well you will have to see for yourself.
When you reash for the cache you will have to be careful that he doesn't get you.
