Geocache Description:

The Point is a large tract  of "Organic" meadow stretching from the Low Newton by the Sea road (by St. Mary's Church) to the cliffs past the old RAF radar station, now owned by the National Trust  and used as a depot/ workshop /store/ office.
To the north is Football Hole and to the south Newton Bay leading on to Embleton Bay.
Never having been cultivated or artificially fertilised the flora is of great interest to botanists.

A few hundred yards from St.Marys chrch there is a cattle grid.
Out of respect for the memoral seat "Enjoy the Rest" the cache is not here but very close by
A 35mm film canister size cache.
The cache is in a partially pointed stone wall and is visible from the correct angle. You do not have to move any stones to access this cache. This cache was placed with the kind permission of the National Trust.
Skylark and other ground nesting birds nest on the point so please follow the NT's guidlines and stick to the paths
