Geocache Description:

Up along the 'Cross' hike in Palm Desert. I thought this trail needed more geocaches, so here's one more! Nice views from up here - remember to pause and reflect at the beauty surrounding you...

Depending on your fitness level this could be a challenging/strenuous hike or just a good work out. If you're a local, it is similar in places to the Bump 'n Grind in steepness. I'm out of shape, but made it - with several rest-stops along the way lol!

When you are getting close to the cache, you will need to split off the main Cross pathway and follow a smaller trail that goes up this hill. My GPS has a radius of possible error of 16 feet, but when you get close to GZ, just turn on your geosenses. I won't give a hint, because a major clue is in the title of this cache. Good size cooOOokie tin container for swag and TBs of decent size too.

For the FTF - a nifty FTF trackable tag! Gratz to Hummingbird Freak for FTF! :D

Best way to find the trail head is to go up Monterey/HWY 74 and turn right on Thrush Rd. Follow that around and over the bridge - turn right ,as the big sign says, and pick your starting spot. :) There is a picnic area with water faucets near the beginning of this hike. Signs say trail area is closed from dusk 'til dawn.
