Geocache Description:

Hi and welcome to our first caches. We have tried to make each one different as we experiment with methods of hiding caches. We hope you enjoy the challenge!


I am native to woodlands and gardens and in Norfolk "yarn" I am known as the bishy-barney-bee. Some of you may also have heard from a popular story that I can be bad-tempered! I am a micro cache containing a pen and log book, and I am cleverly hidden. Please be careful when unscrewing my container!


I am where you would commonly find me- at ground level. On the opposite side of the path is a natural playground and habitat where you would expect to find other creatures like me hiding.

Beware of muggles! Many like to walk their dogs around here, or cycle the pathways!

These caches are located in a beautiful area of Norfolk, which boasts magnificent sights all year round. Whitlingham Country Park is on the southern edge of Norwich next to the village of Trowse. There are lovely walks all around the park and it's a good place for cycling too. There's a wheelchair accessible path around the Great Broad (about 2 miles / 3 km) and two all-terrain wheelchairs are available to book from the visitor centre. Touch screens in the visitor centre will introduce you to fascinating Broads wildlife. The park's Outdoor Education Centre (fully accessible) offers a programme of adventurous outdoor activities.
