Geocache Description:


The magnificent Riviersonderend Mountains run from near Villiersdorp to Riviersonderend and separate the Breede River Valley from the Cape Overberg.

The Sonderend River has its source in these beautiful mountains near to Villiersdorp and meanders through the Overberg.

The Theewaterskloof Dam is on this river and supplies the Greater Cape Town Metropolitan area with water.

Near Swellendam the Sonderend River joins the Breede River and is considered to be its main tributary.

The cache site overlooks a very tranquil and beautiful part of this river - do spend a while and enjoy the view and the wonderful bird life that is so prolific in this area.

Please replace this cache exactly as found and keep an eye open for muggles.
